Standing Collar Tie Takedown Setup
From a standing collar tie position, the practitioner counters an opponent's left collar tie by obtaining an over-tie grip and extending the right arm to weaken the opponent's control. The head position transitions from ear-to-ear to temple-to-temple as the practitioner steps right and back-steps left, feeding the opponent's head into a locked hand position.
Chin Strap Takedown to Front Headlock
Using the chin strap and over-hooked grip, the practitioner takes a strong base on the left leg and pulls the opponent's chin toward the right elbow while driving the right knee toward the left foot. This action drives the opponent from hands down to elbows, establishing a controlling front headlock position.
Shoulder Choke Mechanics and Arm Positioning
The shoulder choke utilizes the chin strap to pull the opponent's chin toward the right elbow while maintaining an over-hooked grip on the far arm. The choking hand enters with the palm facing down to allow maximum elbow height, and the shoulder connects directly to the opponent's neck as the practitioner drops their hips and draws the knee back.
Shoulder Choke Execution and Breakdown
The hand feeds deep through the opponent's guard with the blade of the forearm connected to the neck, then a gable grip is secured. The practitioner places their head from the opponent's back into their armpit, then walks forward while raising the right elbow high, creating pressure until the opponent either submits or adjusts their base.
Transition to Anaconda Choke When Opponent Escapes Shoulder Pressure
If the opponent dips their right shoulder to alleviate pressure from the shoulder choke, their right elbow moves inside, creating an opportunity for transition. The practitioner drops to their right shoulder and moves on top, then attacks around the palm of the shoulder to set up the anaconda choke.
Chin Strap Snap for Neck Exposure
Using snaps on the chin strap while maintaining the over-hook grip, the practitioner lifts the opponent's head to expose the neck. The right knee slides to the left foot to manage distance and create the necessary opening for hand insertion.
Ninja Choke Hand Insertion and Head Movement
The right hand enters deeply toward the opponent's neck while the practitioner's head transitions from the opponent's right shoulder to their left shoulder. This head movement positions the right hand high and places the elbow into a six o'clock position, creating mechanical advantage for the submission.
Ninja Choke Final Setup and Finish
With the hand positioned high and the elbow in the six o'clock position, the practitioner covers the opponent's shoulder with their chest. The right hand grips the left tricep, and the practitioner brings the right elbow toward the body to complete the submission.
