The Carni is a 10th Planet submission documented in Mastering the Rubber Guard. One of the system's unique submissions that don't appear in traditional BJJ curriculum. (Bravo, Mastering the Rubber Guard, 2006)
Start in a solid Z guard position, then shoot your leg to bait your opponent into giving you an underhook. Once they do, transition to the jersey position by getting a butterfly hook on their upper opposite leg, then whip your arm out and frame.
Make sure you grab onto your opponent's tricep, keep your foot on the mat with shoulder-to-chest contact, then drive your arm across and push to finish the shoulder lock, according to Richie 'Boogeyman' Martinez.
Bait your opponent to shoot the leg, which sets up the timing for you to transition into the jersey position and control the space before they can drive forward.
