Shrimp Reguard from Side Control - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for Kids
Utopia Martial Arts
A challenging movement to learn for both adults and kids, but critical to regaining control from your opponent getting around your legs. The reguard is a staple technique for every person's game in BJJ, and we end up working on this movement and technique a lot. Remember that practice makes perfect! As a partner, give them extra space to move at first, then as they get better, begin to give a little less space, so the movements need to be more accurate and deliberate.
