Перевод: upper level spear hand
Nukite Jodan is a spear hand thrust targeting the upper level — primarily the throat, eyes, or soft tissue of the face — using extended fingertips held together. [1] This is the most dangerous application of nukite — the throat is one of the most vulnerable targets on the human body, and concentrated fingertip pressure can collapse the trachea or damage the carotid arteries. [1] Strictly a self-defense technique, banned in all sport competitions. [1]
Documented in traditional karate manuals. [1]
The throat strike version can be immediately lethal — tracheal collapse causes asphyxiation. [1] The eye attack can cause permanent blindness. This is purely a self-defense/military combatives technique with no sport application. One of the most dangerous empty-hand techniques taught in martial arts. [1]
Banned in all major sport competition due to targeting eyes, throat, or groin. Used in self-defense training and traditional kata only. [1]

Nukite jodan (upper-level spear hand) targets the throat and eyes with the fingertips. One of the most dangerous empty-hand techniques — tracheal damage can be lethal. Banned in all sport competition. (222 passages under 'nukite'; Oyama, This Is Karate; Nakayama, Dynamic Karate)
Your weight should be distributed 50/50 exactly in the middle, with feet parallel to each other. This comes from proper technique rather than leaning in to make up distance.
When practicing solo, pretend your opponent is there and visualize moving your foot over and back around them. This builds the proper habit so that when you train with a partner, stepping over them becomes natural.
Move your front foot off to the side slightly (around 7-8 o'clock if you're facing 12 o'clock), followed by your rear foot, then execute the strike and return to stance position.

Оценка опасности 10/10. Extreme — throat strikes can be fatal. Eye strikes can cause permanent blindness.
Стандартная цепочка подготовки: Oi-zuki to body → opponent drops guard → nukite jodan to throat → Mawashi geri feint → opponent covers ribs → thrust nukite to exposed eyes → Grab opponent's collar with lead hand → pull forward → nukite to throat with rear hand.
Стандартные контрприёмы: Head movement — slip or bob to avoid the linear trajectory / Forearm parry — deflect the hand offline with gedan barai or soto uke / Distance — the technique requires precise range, stepping back negates it.
Распространённые варианты: Four-finger nukite (standard formation); Two-finger nukite (nihon) (targeting the eyes specifically); One-finger nukite (ippon) (extreme precision targeting nerve points).
Banned in all major sport competition due to targeting eyes, throat, or groin. Used in self-defense training and traditional kata only.
Основные ошибки, на которые стоит обратить внимание: Using against hard targets — fingers WILL break / Using in sport — illegal everywhere / Not conditioning fingers — untrained fingers are fragile / Poor wrist alignment — wrist injury risk.
Nukite Jodan также известен как Nukite Jodan, Nukite-Jodan, High Spear Hand, Jodan Nukite, Throat Spear Hand.
