From stance, chamber the kicking knee across the body toward the opposite shoulder
Pivot the support foot so the heel faces the target, turning the body fully sideways
Drive the foot laterally through the target, extending the hip aggressively at the point of impact
Contact with the heel for maximum concentrated force, or the blade of the foot for a wider impact surface
At full extension, the body should form a straight line from the supporting shoulder through the hip to the heel
The kick should push the heavy bag several feet backward — this is the test of proper hip commitment
Retract along the same line and reset to fighting stance immediately
